The most popular social network site Facebook recently started Internet.org which has attracted more than 8 lacs of customers in India itself.
Aim of Internet.org
The main goal of Internet.org is to make Internet affordable everywhere in the world and support Internet neutrality. As an initiative step, it has joined with Reliance company and offer free usage of Internet data from more than 30 websites. All Reliance customers from its circles such as Mumbai, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Chennai will be benefited through this programme.

Though it is said that main aim of Internet.org is to spread Internet throughout the world. Its partnership with giant companies like Reliance created a big controversy since its activity seems against Internet neutrality. Meanwhile, Facebook has planned to make partnership with other big companies like Samsung and Qualcomm. In near future, Facebook has planned to get more than 5 billion customers from all over the world.
